Who is the next number 1 pick in the Nation Next year we are in the running for?
I was just thinking of this exact scenario this morning - is Bryce Harper the consensus #1 pick next year, or is there a chance he goes 3 or 5?
There is still a chance that the Pirates, Orioles, Royals, and Padres end up with worse records than us, we know for sure that the Nationals will.

I think that in a year or two, one of these guys - Frazier, Dorn, Valaika, Cumberland, Stubbs - will be ready to replace Dunn. They won't hit as many home runs as Dunn, but they should have similar OPS. - 757690, July 22, 2008

Pretty sure Bryce Harper is the consensus number 1... Really more of a no-brainer than Strasburg imo.

One thing about Harper... would you Biggio him? If he's got that great of an arm maybe try him out at ss/3b as a plan b if anything ever happened that required a move off catcher (IE his knees get bad).

I would just leave him alone... Chances are, if the Reds were so lucky as to get him, he would be too expensive for this organization to re-sign... Let somebody else make that decision.

If I thought it would get Baker fired then maybe.If I thought it might cause the front office and ownership to take a step back and reconsider how they are running things then maybe.But neither will happen even if we loose the rest of our games so for what ever reason I'm still praying for wins.
