    Manny Machado SS HS
    Drew Pomeranz LHP Mississippi
    James Paxton LHP Kentucky

    Austin Wilson OF HS
Yasmani Grandal C Miami (in the 2nd round)
Not much has changed for me 2 months later, although a lot could still change in the next two months.

I like Colon, Pomeranz, and Sale as my top 3 targets for the Reds. Grandal would be awesome in the Second Round.

I'd LOVE to see an OF of Sale, Rodriguez and Duran in Dayton next year.

When do the mock drafts usually start surfacing? May?

He won't make it that far.

Probably true, but plenty can happen between now and June. Stranger things have definitely happened.

I'm really starting to like Austin Wilson in a Reds uniform.

At this point, he is my second favorite HS hitter behind Sale, who could be another Jay Bruce.

Sale is good too, but he's only 6' and already 205. I don't see him filling out all that much more. Wilson is 6'4'' and only 210. He's going to add an easy 20-30 lbs by the time he's in the majors.

Wilson's raw, swing is long. I'm skeptical.

Most is not all your High School hitters are. Wilson has that long swing sure, but ED had a long swing and similar build. How'd that work out? I am a big believer in you go get the best talent, put faith in your developmental people, make the proper adjustments in their flaws and see where it goes... That being said our system is flush with Middle Infielders and Outfielders... But thin as a board at the 3B and 1B position all the way up to AAA. I say go high schooler in the draft big time this year. The ML team is relatively young... With a surplus of almost ML ready talent in AAA. Go young and develop the next wave.

I don't think there are going to be any corner infield prospects worth picking at our slot. I'd love for Zach Cox to fall to us, but that'll most likely not happen. And besides Cox, the next best corner infielder is Nick Castellanos. Quite frankly, I'm not a big fan of his.

I had the Reds picking Yasmani Grandal in the 3rd three years ago in my mock draft, and then picked him in our yearly RZ Mock Draft.

Would love to see the Reds make good on that idea.

Although I have read reports that the idea of him sticking as a catcher is sketchy at best. But if they think his bat will play anywhere, could be worth the risk.

As a Notre Dame football fan I am interested in seeing how far up the draft Bubba Starling goes. He is one of the top 3 rated High School QB's but he throws 95 plus and he is currently hitting over .500.

He gets drafted high enough and he'd be a fool to pass up the money to go to college so I guess we will see.

I would imagine he would. That or he will do both. Alot of college kids flirt with the minors while in school to gauge themselves. Our own Andrew Means was a prime Example.

I'm also hoping we take a high school hitter, but as an OSU fan, the thought of taking Wimmers is quite intriguing. Plus, he's a Cincinnati boy
