Well, I'm not too heartbroken over the loss of Edwin, but I wish Stewart was around as a rotation option and Roenicke an option for the back of the pen.
Im not either when it comes to edwin but the point is they took a weird route to go about fixing 3rd base when they had a couple in house options not far away.
And stripped themselves of (what little) depth at pitching they had.

I'm glad to see him get a call up, I know minor league baseball playoffs don't mean a heck of a lot. With all the injuries, callups, etc its a crapshoot on who wins these things. But I would like to see the Bats take it. With so many players on the MLB roster though and it trickling down, a lot of great minor league players have been called up and aren't doing much on the MLB roster, sucks that it looks like it may have taken a little away from the Bats chances.

I was kidding when I said it earlier but maybe my subconscious really wasnt kidding.
The REDS' upper minor league system is loaded with quality outfielders.
Why are Nix and Taveras on this team?
Can't we swap one of them for a Shortstop or two?
