Del Rosario is warming in the Bats' pen

The Bats don't have a 2nd catcher to warm him up so Ramirez is warming him until Bolivar can gear up to catch him.

Jukich strands 2 in the 7th

    Code:
Player	IP	H	R	ER	BB	SO	HR	ERA
    Jukich 7.0	3	0	0	3	9	0	4.32
    Pitches-strikes: Jukich 105-60 - 57%

Now THAT is a quality start

Sulbaran was strong through six tonight, leading 2-1, but apparently he should have stopped there. He gave up two singles to start the seventh, and then all heck broke loose against Scott Gaffney. The Dragons are now down 6-2.

So much for Carolina's lead. Jerry Gil and Zach Ward have combined to make it 9-5, Tennessee.

I have heard that the Reds have signed OF Lew Ford out of the Atlantic League so you may have been dead on

If I were to sign a 33-year-old out of an independent league, Lew Ford would probably be my first choice. The guy gets on base, has a little bit of pop, and won't kill you with his defense. At least he's probably better than Norris Hopper.

Speaking of which, why is Jerry Gil still in the organization? Does anyone happen to know what kind of velocity he's been having and if his slider actually has any quality to it?

Do you know if he consistently throws that fast? I know he's thrown that high in the past, but I thought he sat around 92 MPH.

Awesome night by Frazier. Can't wait to see him in Cincy next (this?) year.

More Teh Suck from Ward. I mean I'm not sure if the manager is getting directives from Reynolds or Buckley or even Jocketty, but there's no way he can be comfortable putting him in a game right now. I mean heck, Zach gave up 2 earned runs (4 total) in 2.2 IP last night, and that lowered his ERA to 17.74 (I think). Dude's just lost it.
