Dickerson, Haingan placed on the DL, McDonald, Miller up

The Reds placed Chris Dickerson and Ryan Hanigan on the disabled list. They called up Darnell McDonald and Corky Miller from Louisville to take their roster spots

It really doesn't matter who they brought up or did not at this point to me. But can someone tell me why this team needs 5 outfielders at this point?
They don't, which is why the only have 4.5 right now with the call up of McDonald.

Somehow, despite Stubbs being up, I think Dusty will find a way to straight platoon he and McDonald.

Someone in the four that remained was going to lose playing time, now with the 5th coming up, it should be reasonable to assume that all five will lose more playing time now. I don't get it. But I am not the brightest bulb in the package to start with.
