    Hah.

I guess I'm behind the times. The report I read made it sound like it was transacted this afternoon.

So, if Mayor McCheese gets injured, does this mean we'll see Lew Ford in a Reds uniform?

I used to really like Lew Ford. Shows what I know.

I expect him to hit .395 in Louisville and be signed to a 3yr/ 12M deal.

Remember when Lance McAllister and the talkradio hordes wanted to bench Adam Dunn so we could see what "this kid Keppinger" brings to the table, and it turned out Keppinger was four months younger than Dunn?

    Reds baseball...catch the stupid.

No I can't recall that. Bench Dunn in favor of Keppinger?

I always catch the callers that want the Reds to trade nothing for something, as if the other teams front office people just came into town on the turnip truck to spend the egg money.

I assumed the club would be looking for some folks to sign for the AAA club. We've picked their pocket pretty well this season and they're going to need some help for their playoff run. Nothing against Ford, but he's just a body which they were going to need.

Some people play baseball. Baseball plays Jay Bruce.

If someone else gets hurt, Ford at least gives the Reds an option in AAA that doesn't require moving someone young to the 40-man and starting service time / option years early.

Yep, I recall it well. Move Keppinger to LF and get his potent bat in the lineup every night rather than that lackwit Dunn.
