    Um, how is he bitter?

Seems like a nice kid. I'm sure he did have to hear lots of crap from kids in high school being 'the little kid from the crappy star wars movies.'

He sounds super bitter to me about only being known for one movie. He sounds like hes upset that people don't treat him like one of the guys. I get the impression he doesnt know how to fit in with anyone really.

Sounds to me like he's living his life the best way he knows how.

It's easier to judge him, however.

I didn't really see him that bitter. In fact, he seemed rather much a normal guy.

We all know, of course, that it was not Jake Lloyd who made the movie suffer. It was Jar Jar.
    And George.

I didnt know my opinion of the interview could be so wrong. The guy sounds bitter to me. I'm sorry my judgment of him doesnt match your judgment of him.

Wow, not sure how folks made some conclusions based on this interview. I happen to agree with the youth culture he described. Things haven't really changed since my HS and college days, apparently.

The only thing worse than a new Star Wars movie is someone complaining about a new Star Wars movie

I really don't get even an iota of bitterness from him. He seems pretty well rounded and IMO, has a pretty good outlook. I doubt he'd have said that he "wouldn't change anything" if he was bitter.

Has Lucas ever explained to anyone what the deal with Jar Jar was....and how he actually thought it added to the story?

There is nothing worse than a new Star Wars movie.

The 3 latest installments were awful at a level that is tough to put into words.

The last one was pretty good, on par with Return of the Jedi IMO.

I thought it was a good interview. I must admit when I opened the thread I thought it was about Lloyd from Say Anything. Not enough sleep last night.
