Not on point, but kudos for sticking with Stubbs. He's really impressed so far. Speed, defense, power, patience. He could be good.

Has anyone noticed that Stubbs seems to be swinging harder in Cincy?

Viola with a good 8th. 1 walk and 3 Ks.

He has power its just never really shown up in the numbers. Its confusing to say that but anyone who watched him in the minors knows what I'm saying.

I'm pleased to see that Joseph Krebs is starting the second game for Carolina. That guy has pitched great all year in relief, first for Sarasota and then the Mudcats. Of course, it could well be that it's just a bullpen game because of the doubleheader. But I'm interested to see how it goes. To me, Krebs has been the most underrated reliever in the system.

    My man Krebs' final line: 3.1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 4 K. ERA 0.40.

    Alonso's 2 (singles) for 2, with a walk. Cozart's 2 for 3 with a HR. Carolina leads 4-0 in the 6th.

I wonder if Carolina got more fans at its DH than the Reds did?

Brian Pearl gets a strong 2-inning save for Billings. Gregorius with two hits, Yorman one, Frank Pfister three. Final 5-3.

Ward threw 1.2 scoreless for Carolina. First time I remember he hasn't been hit hard. Hope there's still something left there.

    Francisco 22 AA/AAA 847
    Heisey 24 AA/AAA 908
    Frazier 23 AA/AAA 843
    Dorn 24 AAA 803
My guess is one of Heisey/Stubbs/Dickerson gets traded this offseason, with the other two making the OD roster.

Francisco should stay in AAA next year, and be called up only if/when Rolen suffers an injury.

I'd like to see Frazier as the Reds 2B with Phillips moving to SS, but assuming that doesn't happen, Frazier could be the supersub for the Reds in 2010.

If they're not contending come July, Rolen and Phillips could be traded along with the veteran pitchers. If this happens, Frazier and Francisco can start at 2B and 3B, respectively (with Cozart perhaps starting at SS assuming a nice first half in Louisville.) However if the Reds decide to keep Rolen and Phillips beyond 2010, I could see both Frazier and Francisco getting dealt.

Dorn could replace Nix on the roster, or he could stay in Louisville for another year (at least until he is needed as a roster replacement.)
    Go BLUE!!!
