Man! I got called away on a family emergency last night and just now remembered I hadn't made my picks.

I don't know what time a lot of these games started today; but if others on here think my predictions are late I will disqualify myself for this week if need be.

Gee! I just realized how much I missed listening to Lou Holtz and Mark May give halftime analysis.

    NOT!

Holtz just said that Charlie Weis is the most under-rated coach in college football.

The Buckeyes did their very best to give all their fans a stroke today. Pryor didn't look too bad overall but they have to make some BIG improvements before USC comes to town. Next week may be the game that flat out kills me, LOL

Last year's Midshipmen team went 8-5 overall and possessed some talent. I thought they'd give the Bucks a good game, but I didn't think it ould this close. Navy graduated a lot of talent last year, other then Dobbs, who was very impressive.

Not sure about OSU's O-line and their LBing corp this year.

[QUOTE]They may win this game, but their Sominex "sleep-inducing" offense will eventually do them in./QUOTE]

    Oops.

498 yards of total offense against Bud Foster's defense.

    Who expected that?

Re: Weekly Big Ten Prediction Thread

I'll wait till after Monday's Cincy-Rutgers game to post the 1st week standings.

Congratulations to the following though for going 10-0 in the Big 10 ....

HeatherC1212, kaldaniels, Spring~Fields, and yours truly.

Several others went 9-1 (I think they all picked Illinois over Missouri)

So far, in GAC's FIVE , we all took a hit on that Oklahoma loss.

Who in the world would pick Miami (OH) over Kentucky?

Haven't had internet most of the weekend, can't believe I missed week 1, wasn't even thinking!

Every fiber of my being says that USC will beat OSU next weekend. But I BLEED Scarlet and Gray, and I absolutely, positively refuse to pick them to lose.

It bites me every single time, as it did last year. But one of these days I figure it'll make me look smart .

Thanks for doing this GAC...Week 2 presents a much more difficult (more enjoyable though) challenge. I was able to select my Week 1 choices in about 2 minutes...I'll be lucky to get my picks in this week by Wednesday.
