    Nice gesture from Harang

Always nice to have warm and fuzzies in a season of annoyance:

Reds' Harang buys golf cart for attendants

    By JOE KAY
    AP Sports Writer
CINCINNATI (AP) - Reds pitcher Aaron Harang found a swift way to
show his appreciation to the team's clubhouse staff.
Harang bought a souped-up, six-seat golf cart for the attendants
who take care of him and the rest of the Reds players. When
clubhouse manager Rick Stowe saw the cart sitting outside the
clubhouse door on Thursday, he was overwhelmed.
Harang had a nearby auto dealership customize a bright red golf
cart, complete with Reds emblems and "CLUBHOUSE STAFF" affixed on
the front. He said the cart cost about $6,500 and was his way of
    saying thanks.
The attendants will use it to ferry equipment and players around
the ballpark. Until now, they've had to share smaller golf carts.

Hes a class act. Down to earth. Couple times I've seen him before games, he'd sign autographs for a fairly long time and just talk to fans real casually.

Did Larkin get this much play when he bought Rick or Bernie Stowe ( I cant remember which) a Mercedes Benz?

A truly good guy. Scarce as they may be, the stories about a professional athlete NOT acting like a pampered, self-centered egotistic jerk are always great to hear.
Remember, you're unique.....just like everybody else.

Great guy.... I guess I was expecting a story about giving back some of the 20 million he earned the last 2 seasons for losing 31 games...

When you are making 14 mil a year it would be equivalent to me taking 5 of my friends to taco bell for dinner.
