Why is Lehr starting over Wells?

Wells has been much more effective lately.

wells is a stop-gap. Lehr has a small percentage chance of a future with us.

I would say Lehr has earned his spot to finish out the season. The guy has had 2 stints with the Bats and pitched great in both those stints. He doesn't have a future on our team either except for maybe a long man, the only role Wells may carry with us. Neither of them will be back next year. Just let Lehr have his time in the bigs, Wells has had plenty of time and not done much with it.

He also played a role in teaching Homer the splitter that he has been throwing.

Justin Lehr for pitching coach, Corky Miller for bullpen coach, Barry Larkin for manager!
