108 pitches as Homer finishes the 7th (one more hit allowed)

I'd say he's done. But who knows. It sounds like he's throwing the ball REALLY well.

Smoltz against Bronson tomorrow? That could be a good matchup.

Wow, I think that NL wildcard race is going to come to the very end of the week.

Is tomorrow the day game, or is that Thursday?

2 outs and Votto draws the free pass. I smell fear. *grin*

Joey works the walk (and he's working the scruffy face tonight too which I adore.....that's definitely just me, LOL).

Day game is Thursday afternoon. I think it's a 12:35 PM game.

Fly out to center by Phillips to end the 7th. 7-1 Reds. Pitching change?

Yes, Burton coming in. Really nice game there by Homer Bailey. I haven't checked them, but Homer's stats since his last call-up have to be flat-out stunning. Or at least for the past month or 2.

I'm pretty sure Homer's ERA is below 2.00 during this hot streak and he has to have something ridiculous in K's too. He's been awesome since he's been back and I'm super excited that I should get to see him pitch in person this weekend.

Finishing with an ERA below 5.00 (it's currently 4.78) for the season is a great accomplishment for Homer Bailey.

Based on his second half, I think he's pitched his way into the rotation for 2010 regardless of how his spring training goes. That's amazing, given where he was just a year ago.

Doesn't sound like Jared's fooling too many people. A flyout to the wall by Rasmus there, following the Holliday double.

Who's on base for the Cards? I'm still watching Biggest Loser and missed who got on base. There is one out.
