    Why no Wells?

Does anyone know why Wells has disappeared from the rotation?

Bailey could use an extra day of rest (at least), as could Lehr (who is pitching on empty).

I wouldn't be surprised to see Lehr get a breather, but I haven't read anything to that effect, except that he's pitched a lot of innings in the last year.

When the re-inserted Cueto into the rotation, they re-shuffled things so that the other starters stayed on thier turns. Other than that, just a Dusty choice I guess.

Aren't both getting an extra day of rest with today's off day?

I'm hoping this is the last time we see Kip Wells pitch as a Red. He shouldn't be anywhere near the 2010 Opening Day roster. JMO.

This could be his last MLB appearance. He was released by the Nats if you remember.

I doubt if Wells will be telling his grandkids, "yea, back in the day I gave up a Grand Slam to Chris Carpenter."
