College athletes are high profile on their respective campuses.
Heck, @ Kansas, the football team and the basketball team have literally been fighting on various parts of the campus.
A lot of people are jealous of NCAA Division I athletes, and do stupid things.
RIP Howard. You were about to become a father, but like the article said, at least your child will now have 105 uncles for support.
The problem with Storrs is that you have too many students and non-students within close proximity. People go there to party, people get crazy when they party there, and stupid stuff happens.
