Steve Martin, Alec Baldwin to co-host Oscars

    http://www.breitbart.com/article.php...show_article=1

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin will co-host the Oscars.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences says the two Hollywood veterans will share hosting duties at the 82nd Academy Awards ceremony, to be held March 7, 2010.

Martin has hosted the show twice before. Baldwin is a first-timer.

Allow me to express my complete and utter disdain for everything Baldwin. I believe those brothers (but Alec more than any of them) to be the most ignorant, closed-minded individual(s) in the world.

I actually thought Hugh Jackman did a great job last year. Disappointed he won't be back.

He did. He showed a sense of humor and delivery I didn't realize he had. He was very entertaining.

Shouldn't Baldwin be living in Canada by now anyway?

Alec Baldwin is a decent actor and has good comedic timing. The only Baldwin brother with talent.

I think Alec is a talented actor, I simply dislike him greatly. He's the only celebrity that I cannot ignore his real life persona when viewing him as a professional entertainer.

During the 2000 presidential election, Baldwin said he'd move to Canada if Bush was elected.

2000? kind of an obscure reference for all us young people. Now that the joke has been explain, I guess we all can get a good chuckle now.

Re: Steve Martin, Alec Baldwin to co-host Oscars

It's interesting that Baldwin was picked to host a film awards show, a gig that traditionally goes to comedians. Just about all of his film work has been in dramas, while most of his TV work is comedies. One of his darkest roles was in the John Hughes film "She's Having a Baby." Think about that for a minute... a dark role in a film by John Hughes, one of the most acclaimed comedy directors of the 80s.

    He's had an unusual career.
