Painting of Reds All-Time Greats ('Field of Dreams')

This is unbelievable! Rose not included! Lame! The reason he gives isn't good enough to exclude Pete. With all due respect, Sabo shouldn't be included.

It's his painting. He could put a Reds cap on Underdog if he wanted.

There are a few that should be behind Pete on that inclusion list. Crazy.

Of course, but he wants to sell the prints at $250 a pop or $50, depending. To me, leaving Pete out decreases the demand for this item.

I couldn't get the picture to come up. But without Rose its incomplete. I wouldn't consider buying one at any price without him in it.

Some truly terrible choices. The article says he included Ewell Blackwell from the 1940 world champs, but Blackwell first joined the Reds in 1942.
How does he select Paul Derringer from the 1940 Reds and leave out Bucky Walters? Walters was the NL MVP in 1939 and lead the NL in wins in 1939, 1940 and 1944.
    Where's Frank Robinson?
    Where's Edd Roush?
Leaving out Rose is crazy. He may as well put Underdog in the picture as Raisor suggested.

If you're going to throw a third baseman in there, why not Heinie Groh? I'd say putting Spuds in there is the equivalent of putting Underdog in there.

Here it is, nice to know nothing happened Reds wise between 1869 and 1940

Where is Perez? Nice painting, weird choices.

Let me pick the players and I might pay 250 dollars or 50...

If you look real close, Pete's in the background on the phone to his bookie.

It is bad enough that he snubbed Rose, but he puts JB in a very small portion of the picture. I guess he had to move the greatest catcher of all time and arguably the greatest Red of all time to a more obscure place in order to fit Chris Sabo in a more prestigious spot!

.....and he really plans on selling these things for $250 each??

Any painting or list of Reds great must include Pete Rose, Frank Robinson, and Vada Pinson. Spuds does not belong. Period. If you're going with Chris, why not include Gene Freese, who had a wonderful 1961 and nothing thereafter. There could be an argument for Junior Griffey, but I'll keep quiet so as not to start a firestorm,

I find fault with any document or work of art pertaining to the long history of the Cincinnati Reds that doesn't include Frank Robinson or Pete Rose.
