Looks like the Tigers are looking to shed some steep contracts and what do you know.. The Reds maybe as well. What if these two teams swapped bad contracts in a deal that looks like this:
Aaron Harang and Francisco Cordero plus cash (half of their 2010 contracts) to the Tigers in exchange for Jeremy Bonderman, Dontrell Willis, top 15 prospect, cash (Bonderman and Willis entire 2010 contracts)
Reds save some cash in this move and can get some payroll flexabilty. Tigers get consistancy and the Reds add some question marks but at the cost and change of scenery might balance the deal out. Reds also get a prospect to compensate the question marks. Willis was almost released last season and Reds could use another Owings. Tigers get a closer and a strikeout/potential innings eater ace. Do you make that move?
