Sad news.
Being an OSU alum, I've been exposed to a lot of the work the Spielmans have done for the OSU hospital, raising money for cancer research and such. They're such HUGE parts of the community, just great people it seems, and her death is really hitting close to home here.
I found this story dated October 20, Stefanie did so much for cancer research, I can't find the words to express how this loss is weighing on me. I listen to Chris' radio show pretty regularly, and when he did talk about this it could be difficult.
So sad. RIP Stefanie

Hugs, smiling, and interactive Twitter accounts, don't mean winning baseball. Until this community understands that we are cursed to relive the madness.
Sad news. The Spielman's work for cancer research has been vital, and I hope Chris can carry on with it.
For those unfamiliar with her story, The Dispatch has a good timeline of her life and a nice photo album. I hadn't heard much through the years and those links brought me up to speed quickly.

Such courage.
She used to wake me up with coffee ever morning
Incredibly strong.
Stefanie Spielman may be gone but here fight against breast cancer will live on.
Oh Man! I hate to hear this. What a courageous woman, and such a glowing example of a committed, loving marriage. My prayers out to the family.

Witty signature.
A very unfair disease.

An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”
