He uses his stuff intelligently - he confidently uses his changeup and curve at unpredictable times. I'm not alone. A number of scouts say he has a good feel for pitching. His location this year was definitely disappointing and he gave up a lot of homers because he leaves his FB up in the zone too much. Since his delivery is pretty clean, I think he can overcome those faults.

I guess my question is, if a guy knows how to pitch, why is he working up in the zone so much? Sulbaran has potential, but he has a LONG way to go. Guys that know how to pitch in our system are like Matt Maloney, Mike Leake and Mark Serrano (hmm, three M names?). Guys who hit their spots, throw lots of strikes and can throw all the pitches when they want to where they want to.

I think having Gregorius with him in Dayton next year will help JCS. Lotta potential there, for those who say they love high upside.

Would love to see Duran get the nod here so I can move on to voting for Mesoraco...

I understand that Duran looks good in shorts and smokes the ball a long way in batting practice. But I just can't vote for him until, at some point of his third season, he hits his second professional home run. Or jacks that career average up to .200.

On the other hand, Juan Silva . . .
