I think if I'm Elin Woods (aside from having a difficult time imagining myself as a wicked hot, Swede babe), I'd be less worried about cash and more concerned with figuring out what will be best for the kids. In that respect, the ball's in Tiger's court. Will he man up and take responsibility for being a father or not? If not, then go for the highest payoff, I suppose. But either way, I really doubt Elin's going to have to move into her parents' basement.

You know, I don't know if you can man up enough with all the stuff he did. Sorry is a powerful word, and if this were a onesy I think they would be fine.

But multiple women, he's telling them things aren't good at home, wiring them money.

How do you step forward from there?

Dr. Drew says it's possible, though there's a ton of damage here. This wasn't one mistake.

Whatever early morning show is on between 7A and 8A EST on CBS, they had some divorce lawyer on, and he basically said she was stupid if she couldn't stick it out for the new pre-nup time table to kick in and get her payday, saying that she just had to stay legally married and not do anything to void the pre-nup (aka an "affair of her own"), and that she didn't even need to live in the same house as Tiger. He called it an extended separation.

Definitely not the real world, IMO.

This article says 'she wants all the dirty laundry to be on the table before she signs anything.' Tiger Woods is in deep doo-doo.

Tiger Woods: Divorce Looms for 'Athlete of the Decade'
Associated Press Gives Huge Honor; ABC News Source Says Elin Plans on Divorce
By RICH McHUGH, JUSTIN WEAVER and LEE FERRAN
    Dec. 17, 2009

The good news for Tiger Woods is that the relentless reports about his marital infidelity did not stop him from being named the Athlete of the Decade by The Associated Press. The bad news is that they apparently have caused the golf superstar's wife to leave him.

A source close to Woods' wife, Elin Nordegren, told ABC News.com Wednesday that a "divorce is 100 percent on."

Nordegren, a 29-year-old former model, was recently photographed without her wedding ring.

"It would not appear that Elin Nordegren is going to be standing by her man," Kate Coyne, senior editor at People Magazine, told "Good Morning America." "Sources have told us that Elin has told us this marriage is over and she is looking to divorce."

According to Coyne, Nordegren is "shopping around" for a divorce attorney. People Magazine reported Nordegren would be going to Sweden soon to get out of the media glare.

"She's not rushing to divorce, however," the source told ABCNews.com. "She's going to take her sweet time. She wants all the dirty laundry to be out on the table before she signs anything."

The dark clouds of divorce reports swept in on what was an ever-so-brief moment of positive press for Woods when The AP named him the Athlete of the Decade Wednesday.

His record was apparently so strong -- 64 wins in this decade including 12 majors -- that Tiger brought home the prize even though half the votes came in after his scandal broke.

"The voters, the editors around the country, were able to separate Tiger the man from Tiger the golfer, and they decided that his performance on the links was so good that whatever had happened in his personal life -- that really wasn't what they were deciding on," said John Affleck, AP sports enterprise editor.

Like many of his golf matches, the contest wasn't even close. Woods received 56 out of the total 142 votes cast, according to The Associated Press.

Bicyclist Lance Armstrong came in second with 33 votes, followed by Swiss tennis sensation Roger Federer and U.S. Olympian swimmer Michael Phelps.

Tiger's Crash and the Resulting Fallout
Trouble for Tiger's previously pristine image started in the middle of the night Nov. 27 when he crashed his SUV into a neighbor's tree, after hitting bushes and a fire hydrant. Woods was rushed to a local hospital.

The cause of Woods' late-night accident was not revealed, but rumors swirled that it was related to allegations that Woods' was having an affair with New York nightclub hostess Rachel Uchitel.

Uchitel initially denied the allegations to the New York Post and said she and Tiger "are not friends," in a report published on Dec. 1.

But just as Uchitel was denying an affair with Woods, a Los Angeles cocktail waitress named Jamie Grubbs, came forward to claim that she did have a romantic relationship with the golf great and that she had proof in the form of more than "300 racy texts" and photos.

The next day, Dec. 2, Woods made a public statement on his Web site, apologizing for "transgressions" and "personal sins."

Since then, a steady stream of women -- including a porn star and a pancake waitress -- have claimed to had affairs with Woods.

Soon several major sponsors began rethinking their relationship with Woods and at least one major company, Accenture, dropped him completely.

For his part, Woods took an "indefinite" leave of golf and has otherwise stayed silent. Even his close friends, like former NBA star Charles Barkley, said they haven't been able to reach him.

"I think when you have these fires in your life, as I call them, you need to talk to somebody else who is famous, who have been through things in their life," Barkley said.

ABC News' Russell Goldman contributed to this report.

If you're Elin Woods, do you divorce Tiger now (as being reported by ABC News that she's 100% green light to begin the divorce proceedings) and take alimony (she'd qualify, right?) and child support, or do you stick it out for a bigger projected payday?

It's a good question. She's going to get paid no matter what. If the reports are accurate, she just got a huge amount of money from Tiger for renegotiating the pre-nup. You can't say for sure but I'd imagine Tiger will be generous with her with the alimony and support. So she can stay and live in constant reminder of being humiliated and put forth the image of a happy family or she can end it now and live her own life. I think the latter option would be preferable. She'll have some degree of privacy now and won't have to worry about Tiger cheating on her any more. If this is true, you can't say she was in this for every cent she could get. If she was, she'd stay married to him.

If this is true, I would expect to see Tiger back on the tour sooner than later.

I wouldn't look for a Mrs. Woods #2 on the horizon any time soon. Tiger may be a little gun-shy. I believe he'll be taken to the proverbial cleaners.

I'd get the hell out as soon as possible so I could move on with my life and focus on my kids. As long as she's legally tied to him, she has to deal with this mess. And she'll always have to deal with him, to a degree, because of the kids, and also because she married Tiger freaking Woods. But I'd think it'd be better for her well-being to just get it over with. Is there really a big difference financially when you're talking disparities between millions? Make sure the kids have trust funds (I'm sure they do) and get out.

But I tend far more to the emotional than the wealthy, that's for sure, so my advice is probably not the most sound.

Proof that such indiscretions truly do hurt an athlete's overall reputation? Kobe didn't finish in the top 5 in this Athlete of the Decade voting.

About that (No, I'm not going to debate about when you start counting a decade) would you consider Tiger an athlete in the context of golf being a sport? This is not to say Tiger or Jimmy Johnson aren't athletes but are their professions sports and if not, would you include them for this honor?

For sure! There is athletic skill involved in both golf and auto racing. Just because guys can look like Craig Stadler or Jimmy Spencer and get away with it, doesn't mean it's not a sport. Let's not forget those pics of Andre Smith or what CC Sabathia might have looked like in a similar scenario.

Absolutely there is athletic skill involved in golf and auto racing. I will say that there are guys who play football and baseball who it would be a stretch to call athletes. But would you classify them as sports or activities?

Yeah, I don't see how she could ever stay with the guy regardless of how genuine his apologies are to her. The humiliation of it would be too difficult. But I also don't think she can just run off and live in Sweden with the kids unless Tiger agrees to that. He also has rights here, so it will be interesting to see how that plays into the settlement.

If he was so interested in his kids' well being, he wouldn't have messed around with multiple women to begin with. I'm guessing Tiger is going to be more interested in golf and chasing skirts than he is in taking care of his kids. I don't see Tiger as the Mr. Mom type.

Now there are reports that he hooked up with Jessica Simpson. Didn't he realize what happened to Tony Romo?

I don't necessarily agree with that. As I"ve stated many times already, the guy clearly has a sex problem and what he did was incredibly wrong. But I don't see how one can just assume that means he doesn't care about his kids or isn't a good father. Terrible husband doesn't always equal bad father. He may be an awful father, but we don't know that based on marital infidelit
