Yep. Heyward is going to be a superstar and a half. I was hoping like heck he would fall to the Reds in 2007 but the freaking Braves snapped him up one spot ahead of the Reds.

Actually you are wrong. They would hang up, then laugh.

I thought the thread was prospect for prospect. I did not see anything in there about it being realistic trades. I must have missed that.

Yeah I agree, I think he is going to be scary good. As a 19 year old he put up similar numbers to Jay Bruce at 19, only he did it across A/AA & AAA as opposed to just A and the even more remarkable number is the 51/51 BB/K ratio.

It is my understanding he had a scholarship to it was either Colgate or Dartmouth so he probably would have been a tough sign for anyone other than the hometown Braves.

I'd take either Wood or Francisco rather than Brignac straight up.

Why do you want Brignac? What does he bring that Cozart doesn't? Cozart has better defense and better plate discipline.

I like the idea of adding Brignac to the mix, but that is way, way too much.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

It happens for some teams, evidently. Michael Taylor goes to Oakland, Brett Wallace to Toronto.

With Cozart a year away, this makes no sense. Let's see how the in-house option looks in AAA -- and perhaps in the majors late in 2010 -- before acquiring a potentially redundant player for significant talent.

Reid Brignac? Flip that issue of BA to the front cover... See the date on it? 2007? That's what i thought...
