I was fortunate enough to live a boyhood dream and have media credentials at the Redsfest which enabled me access to the green room, upstairs.
A little back story: I moonlight at one of the Reds Radio Affiliates. I was there to get radio ID's from the players/former players. (example:" This is _____ and you are listening to the Reds on [our radio station call letters]")
I was granted early entrance and was greeted by Joe Zerhusen (Broadcasting Mngr. & PA Announcer). Joe was very accomidating and escorted myself and another radio affiliate person upstairs to the green room.
Once there I saw Jay Bruce, Drew Stubbs, & Adam Rosales, to name a few, lounging around watching College Game Day. I was wearing a Bad News Bears/ Chico Bails Bonds Jersey, which interested many of the players to make comments. Bryan Price (new pitching coach) came up to me and we talked all about Bad News Bears, and how he loved my jersey/ the movie.
Dusty Baker came over to my table as did Marty Brenaman. I spoke with Marty a little about minor league baseball and the UC football coach possibly going to ND. I also spoke some with Scott Scudder and his wife.
There were many highlights to my day, any player/coach current or former or any broadcaster, that was there Saturday, was in that room. A big highlight was Bronson Arroyo recording a radio ID for me as he imitated Daniel Ray Herreras Hispanic accent.
I'll stop rambling and post some pics. I apologize for the blurriness. They had kicked a few people out for crashing the room and being über fans and taking too may pics. Although I was allowed to be there, I took these secretly, they kinda frowned upon it.
