The one and only contribution I ever did for this board needs to do a review of our first attempt at being a GM. I personally am proud of the Bard and Walden picks I made

Pain heals. Chicks dig scars. Glory... lasts forever.
Here are my results from 2008:
First Round- Justin Smoak (Went First round to Texas Rangers in 2008)
Supplemental First Round- Aaron Shafer (Went Second Round to Cubs in 2008)
Second Round- Justin Parker (Went Sixth Round to Diamondbacks in 2008)
Third Round- Chris Dominguez (Went Third Round to Giants in 2009)
Supplemental Third Round- Tim Federowicz (Went Seventh Round to Red Sox in 2008)
From 2008
First Round - Stephen Strasburg
First Round - Matt Purke
Second Round - Brett Jackson
Third Round - Kent Matthes
2009 - Kyle Gibson (this draft went down before he hurt his arm... I feel cheated a little), Chad Jenkins, Reymond Fuentes, Madison Younginer, Colton Cain, Dane Williams. I drafted for two teams this year.
2008 - Tim Beckham, Mike Montgomery, Brett Marshall.
2007 - Phillippe Aumont, Julian Sampson.
2007 looks questionable. Aumont should be a major leaguer, but likely a bullpenner. Sampson looks like a bad pick and I apparently took him 10 rounds too soon though he signed for late 2nd/early 3rd round money. 2008 I am fine with. I have two top 100 prospects with Beckham and Montgomery. Brett Marshall still has promise but the stats weren't encouraging in 09 as a 19 year old. 2009 seems too early for sure.
My drafts have just been so-so as far as I'm concerned. My guess is that I'm probably middle-of-the-pack so far.
2009 (two teams)
26. Eric Arnett (his debut wasn't anything special, but it gave reason for optimism)
39. Brad Boxberger (was impressive in the AFL)
47. Jason Stoffel (phenomenal debut)
72. Brian Goodwin (did not sign)
73. Ryan Ortiz (great debut)
74. Jake Marisnick (has not yet played)
103. Robbie Shields (offensively, had a horrible debut; probably a bust)
105. Chad Thompson (has not yet played)
2008
14. Casey Kelly (horrible as a hitter but incredible debut as a pitcher this year)
27. Conor Gillaspie (has put up solid numbers but nothing spectacular)
31. Reese Havens (slugger shortstop has looked pretty good so far)
60. Tyler Sample (had a horrible debut but improved significantly this year)
92. Seth Lintz (can't find home plate to save his life--already looking like a bust)
2007
9. Matt Harvey (still has not been signed)
50. Aaron Poreda (was the most important player the Padres received in the Jake Peavy trade)
61. Sam Demel (solid minor league peripherals suggest he could develop into an effective reliever)
74. Eddie Kunz (has already been to the major leagues but hasn't done too much to impress)
104. Wynn Pelzer (I drafted him six rounds early, but it's looking like it was a decent move on my part)
