I'd classify that tenure as bordering between piss poor and mediocre.

Since you put it that way.. Eww! At least with Krivsky we knew what we were getting which were former Twins players and with Bowden we got any player that a scout uttered the words potential or 5 tool.. Well it could be worse I guess.. We could be the Nationals

Has Jocketty been here long enough to criticize him? Or do we have to wait a full 2 years to judge his weak performance?

thank you (I think) for putting that together in one place
More often than not, when someone is telling me a story all I can think about is that I can't wait for them to finish so that I can tell my own story that's not only better, but also more directly involves me.

Mario-Rijo, That's a lot of work and effort, thank you.

Now I am trying to find the pitching and on base percentage improvements that Jocketty has brought in.

It's a difficult enough task just to find the improvements brought in.

That's why I had to narrow it down to just Jocketty.

I am really looking hard for those improvements in pitching and on base percentages from the talent increases.

Personally I thought it was enough time after 12/27/08.

But just so we have something to compare it to:

    Dan O'Brien - October 27th 2003 to January 23rd 2006 = 2 years, 2 months, 27 days
    Wayne Krivsky - February 8th 2006 to April 23rd 2008 = 2 years, 2 months, 15 days
Walt Jocketty - April 23rd 2008 to ... (my best guess mid October resignation 2011) June 26th 2010 = 2 years, 2 months and 3 days according to Bob's rate of fire.

Which gives Bavasi 2 years 1 month and 21-22 days or sometime mid August 2012.

    Re: The Jocketty Files

No problem on putting it together guys. Someone done it once upon a time for Krivsky's and I thought we could use one after reading a mace post on the minor league forum about trends in Jocks transactions.

    Re: The Jocketty Files

Jocketty gets more time than the other GMs if his process involves unwinding the bad positions on the books in order to get to where they need to be. The sins of some of the others were that they added payroll and significant commitments and showed nothing for it.
