Hmmm..... Who's gonna be the first to tell him?

    Edit: Nvm, it's fixed.

Sorry, I got a phone call when I was adding the names to the poll so it took me a while...

I voted for Mark Serrano again.

Oh, and I shortened the voting period to two days.

For about the 8th time... Henry Rodriguez... elite speed and contact at a ss/2b spot? or more potential relief pitchers?

Speaking of Henry Rodriguez, John Sickels says he is a good defender. Sickels is currently working on his Reds top 20 list so we'll see what else he has to say when the list is completed.

Serrano is 1 and a half years younger than Lecure and finished the season three levels lower down the chain.

I'm not so much against Serrano votes, but I wonder why Lecure is so unpopular. I think he will surprise people this year and expect him to fill in at Cincy this coming season at some point. I think he's underrated.

Re: Who is Redszone's #29 prospect?

I'd like to see Lecure moved to the bullpen. I saw him pitch out of the bullpen last March during Spring Training and I came away very impressed with his velocity out of the bullpen. If I had to guess his velocity that day, I'd say he was sitting at 94/95. As a starter he's around 91, IIRC.

DD Gregorius. Good defense at shortstop. Solid at the plate. Good speed. Good numbers.

Just can't see how he isn't one of the top thirty prospects for this team. My guess is BA and others will list him in the top 30 group.

Doug, how certain are you of that good defense? I'm not challenging it; just wondering how solid you are in that assessment.

And speaking of middle-infield defense . . . this is an interesting development. It will surely elevate Rodriguez in my estimations. Might have to hop on REDblooded's bandwagon . . . However, the first order of business would be to somehow differentiate him from Gregorius.

Baseball America said it. Also talked to a few guys who saw him play, though they weren't scouts.
