For some reason the Reds get more attention from the Onion's hipster snarkers than a boring small market team should get. Which one of you is an Onion?

Its probably because they employ Dustball. Its just too easy at that point to not write about the Reds.

First post on nyyfans.com after they found out the Reds had signed Chapman:

21 years old, 97 mph fastball, raw talent...meet Dusty Baker. Hello DL.
First post at whitesoxinteractive.com after they did:

Kinda cool how it wasn't for some huge market team, still I was rooting for the Marlins to pick him up. Now let's see how fast Dusty Baker blows his arm out.
Sonsofsamhorn.net, before they even knew it was the Reds:

There are all kinds of guesses being made. One reporter is even guessing(get ready) that the ...REDS are the team that made the $30 million offer.

Dusty Baker and a young flame throwing pitcher. What could go wrong?

But it took marlinsbaseball.com a full page of discussing the $30M contract before getting to this:

Yet another young arm for Dusty Baker to destroy.
