We Were Soldiers, Saving Private Ryan, and Band of Brothers for me.
Honorable mention to Glory and Memphis Belle
Enjoyable but farther down only due to historical inaccuracies would be Braveheart, Patriot, and Flyboys.

I like most of the movies mentioned above. It's not WWII or Vietnam, but The Hurt Locker is a fantastic movie. I'd put it up there with some of the best war movies ever made.
"I know a lot about the law and various other lawyerings."
Hitters who avoid outs are the funnest.
Browsed imdb over soup at lunch...
Some more good ones, mostly 40's-50's-60's era
Twelve O'clock High
The Great Escape
The Guns of Navarone
Run Silent, Run Deep
Cross of Iron
Sahara
Sands of Iwo Jima
Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo
The Dam Busters
Diary of Anne Frank
The Desert Fox
In Harm's Way
Sink The Bismarck
She used to wake me up with coffee ever morning
Another vote here for "Bridge on the River Kwai" and "The Great Escape."
"I can make all the stadiums rock."
-Air Supply
The Great Raid is another WWII movie that I really liked.

School's out. What did you expect?
Stripes
Not a war per se, but a war movie "Blackhawk Down."
Where we gonna go?
Letters from Iwo Jima is fantastic and has not been mentioned.
Patton is excellent, Bridge on the River Kwai is great, Stalig 13 is one of my favorite movies of all time.
When I see the 2016 Reds, I see a 100 loss team and no direction.
Pretty much ditto for me as well. Also Inglorious Basterds (the new one, haven't seen the original) is kinda war-ish, it's based on one anyhow. All of mine have pretty much been stated here in this thread. Band of Brothers, Saving Private Ryan, Patriot, Full Metal Jacket are my 4.

Paths of Glory
Unless I overlooked someone already posting it, The Dirty Dozen is a great one
Which just reminded me of "Glory" with Denzel Washington.
