My first thought was the same---only three games? I also understand the reasoning for the partnership with STO--but ugh--I don't need to hear the joke known as Matt Underwood on my Reds coverage.

3 or 4 games should also be on the other Fox Sports channels. Last year I believe the Reds only had two games on Fox Sports Ohio.

Usually more spring games from Arizona than Florida on Fox. Cubs and White Sox always show quite a few games on WGN as well.

I could be wrong but I can't ever remember the Reds ever televising more than two Spring Training games.

One night game during the week and one afternoon game on Saturday or Sunday.

I seem to remember the majority of them being on 700 correct?

3 is still not enough. Whether that is more or less than in the past. The Reds want to get some interest up before the season? More games on TV in the Spring would help.

I agree that more games should be broadcast. I'm not saying every other ST game, but maybe 10-12 would be welcome.

MLB Network aired 61 games last year. I think the bulk came from Arizona.
Hugs, smiling, and interactive Twitter accounts, don't mean winning baseball. Until this community understands that we are cursed to relive the madness.

Just a heads up - the Reds/Angels game on Wednesday at 3:05 will be on Fox Sports West.

Re: Fox Sports Ohio to air three Reds Spring Training games

I wonder if the three games will be in HD? SD games on FSN on Directv are brutal - definitely one of the worst SD channels on Directv. On the other hand, Directv has sent up a new bird, and speculation is that when it's activated that FSN Cincinnati will go HD full time. What that means is that even SD games on FSN will look much better than they do now.

Help stamp out, eliminate, and do away with redundancy.
