If the USA can win the gold in men's hockey, I hope we top this. Tap a PBR keg, light some Marlboro reds, wear gold medal shirts from Wal-Mart and show the latest "Keeping up with the Kardashians" on the big screen.

Wow great match for the gold in women's curling. Sweden beats Canada in the 11th end. Canada had a chance to win it in the 10th and made a mistake and then in the 11th had to knock out two Sweden stones to win and literally missed the shot by an inch.

Who saw Ono get DQ'd? I say it was a valid DQ, but a few friends say no. (I think their vision is clouded by red white and blue goggles.)

It looked valid to me. He put his hand on the guys hip and he fell. It appears doubtful he would have fallen if Ohno hadn't touched him.

I don't know. It looked like he was going to fall regardless. However, all the skaters know how these things go when they step on the rink. If they touch someone else and that person falls, whether caused by the touch or not, the refs are going to err on the side of DQ. I can understand it. Keeps skaters from initiating contact and trying to argue it was merely incidental.

I'm not usually someone who mixes patriotism with sports (it is almost always contrived), but I REALLY want to beat Canada.

BTW, sports are amazing when they aren't interrupted by commercials every two minutes. It is amazing what true "flow" and "momentum" look like.

Whew this is a really exciting game. US started to play a lot better in that period. Hope they can keep it up.
