How did I forget about Marty Cordova?
My dad got to enjoy 3 Reds World Championships by the time he was my age. So far, I've only gotten to enjoy one. Step it up Redlegs!

How can Eric Karros or Chris Sabo be considered "nothing special"?

    Just my two cents.
This is the time. The real Reds organization is back.

Is that how Grande pronounced it?

And if anyone really wants to scratch what Reds players have juiced he's one of the guys I'd have to look at, based on his game, his quirky behavior and the time he played.
Yep. I'll throw out another name that'll surely derail this thread:

    Barry Larkin, 1996.

As for RoYs, here they are:

What strikes me is that the NL RoY had a very solid run 1981 - 1993. Jerome Walton in 1989 turned out to be a dud. Sabo's probably the 2nd weakest name in that stretch. Otherwise, all of the NL RoY winners from Valenzuela in 1981 to Piazza in 1993 all had very good to great careers.

Don't think I've seen Pat Listach mentioned, yet.

I thought I mentioned him in the first post. Maybe not though.

What does Barry Larkin in 1996 have to do with ROYs?

He's throwing his name out as a possible Reds steroid user.

Championships for MY teams in my lifetime:
    Cincinnati Reds - 75, 76, 90
    Chicago Blackhawks - 10, 13, 15
    University of Kentucky - 78, 96, 98, 12
    Chicago Bulls - 91, 92, 93, 96, 97, 98

That's sounds like a very good career.

If it wasn't for Ryan Howard Willy Taveras would be dominating this thread.

Taveras finished second to Ryan Howard in NL Rookie of the Year voting in 2005.
