The Detroit Lions are shocked to find their MLB for the next ten years to be sitting there for the taking with the #2 pick of the second round.
The Lions pick:
Brandon Spikes LB University of Florida
They fully expect Spikes to be what Chris Spielman was to their defense two decades ago
With the third pick in the second round, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select....
Corey Wootten, defensive end, Northwestern.
Yes, Thomas is a has more production and is a bigger faster player. Thomas is going to be ok by training camp, and he has a taped 40 run at 4.38 seconds. Benn has never caught more than 5 passes in a game. While I like Benn's potential he is definitely below Thomas on my board.
Hugs, smiling, and interactive Twitter accounts, don't mean winning baseball. Until this community understands that we are cursed to relive the madness.

With the 6th pick of the second round of the 2010 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns select:
Ryan Matthews, RB Fresno State University
With the F.A. addition of TE Ben Watson and the selection Dez Bryant in the first round, the Browns are trying to improve their dreadful offense from a year ago. With the addition of Ryan Matthews, the Browns have the necessary weapons to take the pressure off whomever is going to be the Quarterback in 2010. Even though Jerome Harrison had a great 2nd half to the 2009 season, his diminutive size will not stand up to the pounding of a full season. In selecting Matthews, the Browns have found a pounder capable of toting the rock 25-30 times a game.
With the 8th pick of the 2nd Round, The Seattle Seahawks 1st Choice is Rutgers CB Devin McCourty.
If Oakland takes him then the Seahawks will take Florida C/G Maurkice Pouncey.
The Seahawks had the worst starting Cornerbacks in the NFL in Ken Lucas and Marcus Trufant. Lucas flat out stinks and won't be retained this season. Trufant stunk much worse last season, but the Seahawks have to pay him a $3M bonus in March that's guaranteed. Trufant and the Seahawks are hoping that his horrible play last season was due to his bulging disc that landed him on the PUP the first part of the season. Trufant said he was healthy. If he was healthy, then he's not going to earning the $5.7M contract due him as a Nickel Back. He'll have to prove he can start. I don't think he'll start over McCourty.
The Seahawks need help on the entire Offensive Line other than versatile 2009 1st Round pick Max Unger and newly acquired Ot Brian Bulaga. But, Rob Sims and Chris Spencer have both become liabilities on the roster. Adding the highly versatile and effective Pouncey, who can play G/C/RT, the Seahawks "new zone-blocking scheme" will be a match made in heaven for the versatile Unger and Pouncey, both highly intelligent players.
With the 7th pick of the second round, the Oakland, Los Angeles, California Raiders select
Jerry Hughes, DE/OLB, TCU
Championships for MY teams in my lifetime:
Cincinnati Reds - 75, 76, 90
Chicago Blackhawks - 10, 13, 15
University of Kentucky - 78, 96, 98, 12
Chicago Bulls - 91, 92, 93, 96, 97, 98

KoryMac5 was not going to have internet access this weekend so had me pick for him and wanted a WR in the 2nd round.
With their 2nd round pick in the NFL draft the Buffalo Bills select Brandon LaFell, WR, LSU
Tampa Bay selects Brandon Ghee, CB, Wake Forest.
