The Carolina Panthers select Greg Hardy, DE, Mississippi. We need someone to replace the loss of Julius Peppers and think Hardy can be that guy. At 6'5 290 lbs he will wreak havoc from the DE position.

It's a lot more than just Alabama and Florida. 19 SEC picks so far from 7 different schools. Over a quarter of this draft has been SEC.

Ah yes some more SEC baiting from SeaRay. Tacks on 6 picks in the third round, from 4 different schools, and suddenly dominating this draft? Do you get a decoder ring with your SEC fan club membership?

Hugs, smiling, and interactive Twitter accounts, don't mean winning baseball. Until this community understands that we are cursed to relive the madness.

No baiting on my part. I think this board is picking more SEC players than even I would. You'll note I took the 1st rd Bengal pick to task for what I felt was an SEC reach.

BTW, UT fans would no more drink Gatorade than Michigan fans would eat Buckeyes...

I guess we could break it down:

    11. Denver (from Chicago, 7-9) - Rolando McClain, LB, Alabama
    17. San Francisco (from Carolina, 8-8) - Joe Haden, CB, Florida
    21. Cincinnati (10-6) - Dan Williams, DT, Tennessee
    24. Philadelphia (11-5) - Carlos Dunlap, DE, Florida
    27. Dallas (11-5) - Maurkice Pouncey, C/G, Florida
    30. Minnesota (12-4) - Terrence Cody, DT, Alabama
    2. Detroit (2-14)- Brandon Spikes(ILB-Florida)
    9. Buffalo (6-10) - Brandon LaFell, WR, LSU
    15. New England - from Tennessee (8-8) - Tim Tebow, QB, Florida
    17. San Francisco (8-8) - Dexter McCluster, RB/WR, Mississippi
    18. Kansas City - from Atlanta (9-7) - Geno Atkins, DT, Georgia
    20. Pittsburgh (9-7) - Micah Johnson, LB, Kentucky
    22. Cincinnati* (10-6) - Aaron Hernandez, TE, Florida
70 Philadelphia Eagles(from Seattle) - Ciron Black, OL, LSU
73 Miami Dolphins - Trevard Lindley, DB, Kentucky
74 Jacksonville Jaguars - Kareem Jackson, CB, Alabama
76 New York Giants - Jamar Chaney, ILB, Mississippi St.
77 Tennessee Titans - Javier Arenas, KR/CB, Alabama
78 Carolina Panthers - Greg Hardy, DE, Mississippi

    Six Gators
    Four Tide
    Two Vols
    Two Cats
    Two Tigers
    Two Rebels
    One MSU Bulldog
    One GA Bulldog

Looks like God's Conference is well represented so far.

Not that it won't be represented in the draft on almost the same level but there's probably a bit of selection bias here in people taking guys they've heard of.

That's what I would think but in my experience there are more Big Ten fans here than SEC thus that's what makes this so surprising

I don't think anyone would argue that the SEC as a whole has been better the last four years. The arguments usually start when the insinuation is: SEC=Yankees Everyone else=Richmond Roosters

Or that this is how it will be forever. No one would argue the SEC is having a great cycle.

On a completely unrelated note, San Fran is on the clock.
