With the 26th pick in the second round, the Arizona Cardinals select Pat Angerer, an ILB out of Iowa. The hope is that he will fit in well with the 3-4 defense and be able to start sooner rather than later.

An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”

With the 27th pick in the 2nd round, the Cowboys select Penn St. linebacker, Sean Lee. He's got good size at 6-2, 235 pounds with decent speed.

Smart, big and a great tackler, Lee will be able to step in right away to give the aging Brooking a breather. The heir apparent to the Boys middle linebacker position will have a great teacher in Brooking. Should be able to step in and play right away and will also improve special teams.

Re: Official 2010 Redszone NFL Mock Draft!

Having already added the speedy WR Golden Tate, the San Diego Chargers take with their 2nd pick of the 2010 draft a powerful and bruising runner to match up with RB Darren Sproles.

San Diego Chargers select RB Toby Gerhart, Stanford

    Height/Weight: 6'0/231
    College Experience: Fourth-year senior
    Combine #s: 4.53 forty, 22 x 225, 38" vertical, 9'10" long jump, 4.25ss
    Style Comparison: Cedric Benson
    2009 Stats: 343 - 1,871 (5.5) - 28 Tds, 11 - 157 (14.3) - 0 Tds

Positives/Negatives: Gerhart's "athleticism" has been criticized in some circles, and the notion is perplexing. Our sense of reality is truly out of whack if we're questioning the athletic ability of a 105-game starting outfielder for College World Series-qualifying Stanford baseball and the 2009 Pac Ten Player of the Year in football. The real "question mark" for Gerhart is whether he can make NFL defenders miss. He probably can't, but that isn't his game anyway. Gerhart is a hard-charging, no-frills runner with experience in a pro-style system. He will be able to run through and away from most NFL linebackers. Gerhart was rarely used in coach Jim Harbaugh's passing game (11 catches in '09) and tore his ACL in 2007, but exhibited soft hands in Combine drills and is clearly recovered from the knee injury. Gerhart finished second nationally in rushing last season.

Outlook: Craig James, in 1985, was the last white running back to rush for 1,000 yards. Assuming he stays healthy, Gerhart will be next. While he may only be a two-down player initially, Gerhart is worthy of a second-round pick and has the potential to be a long-term franchise back.

Re: Official 2010 Redszone NFL Mock Draft!

With the 29th pick in the 2nd round of the 2010 NFL Draft the New York Jets select:

    DE Tyson Alualu California

Continuing to work on defensive holes Alualu will help to fill our potential hole at DE. Tyson has the size/speed/strength ratio we look for at the position plus he has experience playing the DE position in a 3-4 defense so he has an edge on his peers in this draft and thusly should help us right away.

With the 30th pick in the 2nd round the Minnesota Vikings select Joe McKnight, RB, USC.

We feel Joe will come in right away and take over the 3rd down role that was vacated when Chester Taylor departed.

With the 31st pick in round 2, the Indianapolis Colts select:

    OL Rodger Saffold, Indiana

The Colts released G Ryan Lilja because they wanted to get bigger on the O-line. Saffold is a hometown product who had a great combine and might even have left tackle potential. I've seen him as a first-rounder in several mock drafts.

Good pick, I was hoping he'd last back to me.

With the last pick in the 2nd round the Super Bowl champions select Navarro Bowman, LB, Penn St.

After losing Scott Fujita in free agency we feel we need to add to the talent level of our defense. We got Everson Griffin in the 1st round and now add a very talented LB here at the end of the 2nd round.

Very glad to see the Bengals get that #96 pick!!!

That could be a number of different players that can help the team.

With the first pick in the third round the St. Louis Rams select QB Tony Pike, University of Cincinnati.

Pike will provide a prospect for the future, after a year of learning will be on pace to earn a shot at the starting job in 2011.
The Sox traded Bullfrog the only player they've got for Shottenhoffen. Four-eyes Shottenhoffen a utility infielder. They've got a whole team of utility infielders.

With the 2nd pick of the third round the Detroit Lions stay in state and draft some protection for their franchise QB:

    Jered Veldheer OT Hillsdale College

He will protect Matt Stafford's blind side for years to come
