You have the Reds to thank for Green...

...uniforms that is. Mix in a little sunshine, baseball and green beer and you have the perfect afternoon. And baseball has the Reds to thank for it.

Maybe Cincinnati Reds general manager Dick Wagner was bored after tooling the Big Red Machine into back-to-back World Series winners in 1975 and 1976. Maybe he grew nostalgic for the days when his gimmicks popularized the Ice Capades. Or maybe he just liked pulling a fast one.

Incidentally, Bob Howsam was the architect of the Big Red Machine, but still a nice story.

I think that in a year or two, one of these guys - Frazier, Dorn, Valaika, Cumberland, Stubbs - will be ready to replace Dunn. They won't hit as many home runs as Dunn, but they should have similar OPS. - 757690, July 22, 2008

Alonso will be playing 1B for the REDS and batting 4th one year from today. - Kingspoint, July 9, 2009

My dad's friend owns a game worn St. Patricks's Day jersey of Pete Rose. We've been trying to buy it off of him for years.
