They don't want to eat that salary, so I say the chances are small. They are going to give him every opportunity to figure this out--which is probably a bad thing.
0. Because that would just be a downright awful move. He just gave up 5 hits in 5 innings and 3 ER. He left the game giving us a solid chance to win. From watching the game I saw a lot more swings and misses on pitchers, his slider looked sharper, and his fastball was hitting 93. Just because he may no longer be a Cy Young contender doesn't mean you just release him...we have seen he can put in some pretty dominant relief appearances.Originally Posted by berryluther
