Very nice! Now time to empty the old "fritter frater".

I seem to remember BA pitched really well in his first game with the Reds, also a day game. I think he gave up a home run to Ramirez that still hasn't landed and then settled down, got an RBI hit and the win.

He hit a homer off Glendon Rusch.

He then proceeded to do it again a week later.

Didn't he also hit a home run in that game? Seems like he had a couple of home runs in his first two or three starts for the Reds.

In April 06 he hit two seperate homers against Glendon Rusch, I believe.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

1 was at home and the other was at Wrigley.

Great memory. I usually wish that I had a memory like that, but as far as the Reds are concerned, forgetting what has happened from year to year hasn't been such a bad thing in recent years.

The second homer off of him was epic. I can remember Griffey's reaction in the dugout.

It's one of the few good Reds memories I have.
