    Arroyo Pitches a Beauty - 4/8

In a day game no less, eh?

    8 ip 4 hits, 1 run, 6 k's, 3 walks

    Of course, no win.

But! Gomes wins it with a bomb.

Hopefully Arroyo, and the offense, are off an running now.

I really enjoy Arroyo's craftsmanship in games like this where the other team thinks they know what's coming, or just prays his breaking stuff isn't snapping as much.

There will be days where he's off, but man, it's fun to watch when he's on. It reminded me of 2006 when his starts were appointment television.

    A Game Score of 71.

That will be hard to top during April for any of our starters.

Supposedly he was in pretty bad pain after getting hit by that ball too. Very impressive outing.

    Damn, I forgot that.

He also stuck out the hated Pujols for K # 1000 in his career.

Wow, reports coming in that he's healing sick people after the game.

Good news from Bronson. He expects to make his next start.

-- Bronson Arroyo's lower left leg was doing much better, a day after the Cincinnati Reds' right-hander got hit by a batted ball.
