Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

To a point, but he's leaving a ton of pitches out and over the plate. Good hitters like Pujols and Lee will crush them every time. Marginal to bad hitters will start to crush them when the weather warms and they get a hundred ABs under their belt. It will get worse if he doesn't starting coming inside to keep the hitter honest in the box. Soriano was practically standing on the plate.

One more out and its time to go get him. The Question is who to bring in, Lincoln and Ondrusek probably should stay on the bench, Cordero and Owings probably aren't available. Need to save Masset for the 9th. That just leaves lefty guys Rhodes and Herrera and neither are good choices against the cubs line-up in the 7th and with Nady on the bench.

At this point I expect Harang will probably be out there next inning. He is at 83 pitches right now.

If they bring in a reliever before the 7th...I'm betting it'll be the birthday boy Lincoln.

    NICE! Lee picked off first.

Good pickoff. Lee is picked off first. 3-3 mid 6th. Harang's first career pickoff.

Best AB of the week for Bruce. Didn't let Zambrano get control.
