    Willy Tavares

For all the naysayers, naggers, second-thinkers (there's plenty of you on here): some food for thought.

Tavares went 2-4, 4 RBI yesterday for the Nationals. Anyone care to comment?

Yeah........he still sucks. How intelligent to take 1 game and call out the people who wanted him gone based on his entire career.

Phillipshead, you know no one on this board will make any conclusions based upon one game Having said that, I am so glad he is gone so Dusty is not able to misuse him. (Although several managers have hit him leadoff).

Cut Stubbs, and trade Chapman to get Tavares back.

I love Tavares! They had some nice hits back in the 70's. Oh, what? You're talking about Taveras? He stinks.

Man, I miss him. That speed....everything about him. Worst trade ever.

Isnt there a saying that involves blind pigs.....

Actually the 1st Saturday game of the year last year he went 2 for 3 and had an OPS of 1.053 so his going 2 for 4 yesterday means absolutely nothing.

If I recall correctly, he led the team in batting average in early May last season. Then the poop hit the fan. I wish him luck, but I'll take Stubbs and Dickerson over him any day.

1 frickin' game. Are you serious bringing this up?

You must be Willy's brother or something.

Ya know...Alex Gonzalez hit a pair of homers Sunday and already has seven extra-base hits in six games after totaling 30 in 112 games last season.

Maybe we should have not let either of these guys go.
