Hawks need a strong game tonight. Sloppy defense and lack of finishing made game 1 a disaster.
Finding a guy that can score with Toews and Kane is a must, Bickell had a number of chances on his stick that went nowhere. Time for a switch to Brouwer or Sharp would be big.

Versus here in NJ showed the Penguins game, so I only saw the last 15 minutes of the third period of the Sharks game. I have to say that I'm surprised at how they rebounded from the Boyle "own-goal" in the first series. This team seems tougher and more determined than Sharks teams from the past couple years. Thornton has his head in the game, and he scored a big goal last night. Malhotra has brought some 3rd line toughness and is great on faceoffs. Pavelski has emerged as the team leader.

Tonight's game should be interesting. The Canucks are vowing to return the favor on Niemi in terms of crashing the net. I thought the Hawks probably got away with goalie interference on a couple goals in game 3, but on the other hand, that's on Luongo for giving up rebound after rebound.

Vancouver has controlled play in 3 out of 4 games. Roberto Luongo is playing terrible hockey right now. He is in a bad funk.
