Miguel Cairo is not your savior.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

I wish I had there doctors.

Man they recover from the flu and back problems so quickly. Well accept for Rolen I guess. Cairo, Mr. .600 OPS over Janish, that's a statement toward the younger players.

You need to use the term, "experienced" vs veteran, they'll get you for that.

I haven't seen a major leaguer bail out of the box on a pitch right down the middle like Cabrera did for quite some time.

Cabrera with a 'my brother-in-law is the official scorer' hit

Votto with a solid single to center

    Phillips walks

Bases juices. Gomes about to disjoint his spleen swinging for the fences.

Gomes with the sac fly to put the Reds up 1-0

Bruce dribbles weakly to 1st on a 3-1 pitch. Still stepping in the rather large bucket and opening his hips on every pitch.

Cueto gives up 3 line drives so far.

    Out to center for Iwamura
    Single for McCutcheon
    Double for Millege

Pirate announcer just created a great new nickname...the M & M boys...in regards to McCutcheon and Millege.
