I can't recall a series that's EVER been this lopsided before.
Game 1: Brewers win 8-1
Game 2: Brewers win 8-0
Game 3: Brewers win 20-0
Holy crap. Makes me feel not quite so bad about our recent play.
Anybody ever recall a more screwy series?

"Go back to the basement!" the Brewers proclaimed.
And didn't the Reds have a series like that in 04 against the A's?
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”
I think this was meant to make me feel better, but it only reminds me that we got swept by the team that is getting murdered here.
"At least we aren't the Pirates" Reds slogan since 2001.
Go Gators!

folks this is the same Pirates team that just SWEPT the Reds.
.
Pirates expected W-L is now 3-11 and have allowed 18 runs more than anybody else.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.
Series like this happen across baseball. Its the nature of playing 162 games over the course of a season. Even the Pirates and Royals will sweep a series or two. Sometimes they sweep good teams. IIRC years ago with Lou as Tampa Bay's manager when they were lowly they had the Yankees number.

.....and then sometimes they sweep the Reds.
Let's play two!!!
The Pirates brought in their closer today down by 15 ... a guy coming off arm problems no less. Can you imagine if Dusty did that with Cordero?

The Brewers certainly got untracked this week. That team should be fun to watch this season (which it has been for the past few years as well). In particular, Ryan Braun may be entering superstar territory.
