    Funny Sean Casey/Cubs fans story

I've never heard this story before until Hal posted it on his blog today.

HARANG WAS talking about the 2004 season before Friday’s game, recalling how the Reds visited Wrigley Field the last weekend of the season and beat the Chicago Cubs twice to knock them out of the playoffs.

“As the bus headed for the airport, we got stuck in traffic before the entrance ramp to the freeway,” said Harang. “Sean Casey jumped off the bus and ran into a bar and stood at the door and yelled, ‘How is it going to feell watching the playoffs on TV?’ Then he ran out of the place with about seven dudes chasing him.”

I've always loved Sean Casey and this story just makes me love him even more.
"I tried to play golf, but I found out I wasn't very good." -Joey Votto on his offseason hobby search

An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”

Great story and typical Sean Casey--always making lemonade out of lemons. I hope the guys chasing him were old and infirm. Otherwise they would have caught Sean.

I'll never forget Joe Garigola's description of Sean on the basepaths..."he runs like he has suction cups on his feet."

    Loved Casey, though.

Cute story. He was/is great (don't wanna talk about him like he's dead). He's one of the good ones.

Couldn't they have just yelled back "Shouldn't you know?"

I mean, it's not like Sean was a playoff vet at the time...

They were Cubs fans. They clearly don't know a baseball player from an average joe walking down the street.
