    Monday 05/03/10 Minor League Updates

The Mudcats played an early game in Mobile before heading home for an off day tomorrow. The Mudcats lost the 14th game out of the last 15. Recent call up from Lynchburg, Travis Webb, took the loss. Philippe-Alexandre Valiquette had his first really bad outing in relief of the season. Alonso did go 0 for 1 in a ph role.

The Mudcats are 10.5 games out of first on May 3rd.

Somehow, in a 5-game series, the Mudcats managed to lose 13 times to Mobile. Or so it seemed.

Neftali Soto continues to rake. Two hits tonight, with a HR. He's now over .300.

Meanwhile, Boxberger pitched six scoreless innings and Lynchburg leads 3-0 in the 7th.

A few people on here--probably Goya, among others--have observed that there will be hell to play when Louisville finally explodes. Well, Buffalo is paying tonight. In the sixth inning, it's 16-6. Seven Bats have multi-hit games.

Make that 18-6 in the 6th. Francisco has three doubles, Balentien two, Cozart a double and homer. Bats have 21 hits.

Chapman gave up quite a few hits and runs but on the brightside, he posted a great 1 BB/8 K ratio.
