I don't mind Burke hitting leadoff; he has a decent track record of getting on base in the minor leagues. Isn't that what you want? The only problem I have with that lineup is Francisco hitting cleanup. I think he should be hitting near the bottom until he figures out how to reach base more frequently.

I want the real prospects to get more PAs while guys like Burke get fewer.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

That's a valid point, but if were talking simply about the lineup construction I don't think Valaika hitting 7th is a big deal.

Agreed. Valaika's not a lead-off guy, but Heisey could hit first (a role he may be asked to fill in Cincy at some point if Stubbs continues to falter) and Valaika or Cozart could hit second while Burke drops down to 7th or 8th if he must play.

    Bats down 3-0 after 3
    Code:
Player	IP	H	R	ER	BB	SO	HR	ERA
    LeCure 3.0	3	3	3	2	3	0	3.10
    Pitches-strikes: Lincoln 27-22, LeCure 51-31.
    Groundouts-flyouts: Lincoln 4-1, LeCure 4-1.

Frazier with the Bats' only hit and he got picked off leaning toward 2B.

Burke with a leadoff triple, Heisey RBI groundout to SS and Dorn with a 1 out double.

Louisville down 4-1 after 5 and a half. Heisey just threw out Indy's pitcher at the plate for out number 3 in the 6th.
