Clearly the wrong call but you're making another wrong call by assuming you can read the ump's mind.... "I want to go home 'coz I hate it when water touches my skin so I'm gonna go ahead and cheat and call the guy out even though I know he's safe....nobody will know, he-he.."

Wow. That's one of the most clearly wrong calls I've seen in a long while. It wasn't even a bang-bang, quick play. It was a slow lob to the 2nd baseman. That ump should be suspended for that.
That is hilarious. Every single announcer says SAFE before the call is even made. HILARIOUS!

The ump however clearly knew that he just screwed up big time. He turned away and started walking immediately.
I had an ump admit to me one time he was ready to go home and have some of his wifes diner and sweet tea. I was a catcher, and he said it several times during our game, and then made an obvious bad call in the last inning. I had told my coach about it, and he wasnt happy. When he made another obvious "I am ready to go home so that looked like a strike call", I turned quicky knocking into him and down to the ground, then the coach pulled us all off the field under protest.
