Looking at those batting averages, you'd never know it.

    Perfect 1st with 2 K for Wood.

The downside is that he allowed another long flyball out.

Wood hit 94 MPH on the stadium gun in the first inning. Not sure if the gun has been juiced because of Chapman or not, but it has never been known as a hot gun.

    0-0 after 2.5

    Code:
Player	IP	H	R	ER	BB	SO	HR	ERA
    Wood 3.0	1	0	0	0	2	0	3.00

    Pitches-strikes: Wood, T 35-23.
    Groundouts-flyouts: Wood, T 4-3.

The stands are absolutely empty in Louisville. Maybe a few hundred people. Maybe.

Travis Wood seems absolutely locked in right now. Not sure Wilkin Castillo has had to move his target to catch more than 2 pitches so far tonight.

Doug, can you explain the pop-up DP that I just read on gameday?

Bunt that went up in the air to Wood. Made a nice throw as he was slipping to the grass.

Wasn't Veal the #1 pick in the Rule V draft a couple years back?

Not sure if he went #1, but he was a Rule V pick.

    That just plain sucks.

Everybody except Valaika needs to go punch a watercooler.
