Glad to see this. I still really like Soto.

top 9 - ware remains in to pitch
    base hit to center
line out to pfister at 3rd - throwing error on the pick off attempt - runner goes to 2nd
double off the wall in center - runner scores - runner is thrown out at 3rd trying to stretch into a triple - relay throw from gregorious was an absolute bullet
infield single to 2b - diving effort but throw was late to 1st

Maybe the Reds can be the next Rangers in terms of catcher depth in the next couple year....especially if Fleury starts improving. How cool would that be?

Is Mez ready for AA? I just hate seeing 1 of Soto or Mez not catching everyday (or nearly every day).

Sam Lecure with another very good game, it's shame he gets stuck with a loss.

I'm hoping for better. The Rangers haven't gotten anything that looks lasting from Saltalamacchia, Teagarden or Ramirez. Maybe it will happen, but at this point it looks like their catching depth is in full fizzle. The nobody that was Ryan Hanigan looks like a better bet than all 3 of those guys right now.

Very pleased with the state of the catching in the Reds' system right now. Have to give the development staff credit, especially for the conversion of Soto. It may not work out, but it is at the least a nice try.

Interesting that there is only 1 player from that entire game still on the Reds.

He'd have to split time with Denove, who looks very promising in his own right.

Interesting, i dont' really follow the Rangers and didn't realize they had fizzled. I just remembered all the hype of those three and people here wanting to trade for one. I definitely hope for better as well.
