    He needs to get hot.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

Adkins had good reason to argue. Castillo had the plate blocked.

    Reineke on to pitch

They were talking during the Dragon's game last night that Coddington probably needs to move up to Lynchburg because he had done pretty much all he could do at Dayton but as long as Mesoraco was there he wasnt going anywhere.

Dayton was rained out today, BTW.

Another big game for Neftali Soto today. He's now 3-for-4 with a double after going 4-for-4 with 2 HR last night.

In two games he has gone for a .203 hitter to a .300 (almost, .298 currently) hitter with his 7-8 two games.

What a disappointing game for the Bats. 7 - 17 and 8.5 back is not a good start, but really means nothing 24 games in. If they were losing blowouts, I would be concerned. But they have had lights out pitching, and are all slumping offensively. Frazier, Francisco, and Balentien have way to much talent to by hitting the way they are, and have been coming out of their slumps. They are going to break out very soon.

Another walk for Mesoraco. He's now 1-for-2 with a 2-run HR, two walks, and three RBI. He's also thrown out two runners trying to steal.

With the way the top prospects have started in AAA, he's skyrocketing right now.

He's off to a really hot start -- I'm skeptical, though, that it's anything more than that until it's sustained for more than a few weeks. Mez has been consistently mediocre for his entire reds ML career:
    Code:
Year Age Lev G PA AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI SB CS BB SO BA OBP SLG OPS
    2007 19 Rk 40 155 137 16 30 4 0 1 8 2 0 15 26 .219 .310 .270 .580
    2008 20 A 83 334 306 29 80 13 1 9 42 2 3 20 64 .261 .311 .399 .710
    2009 21 A+ 92 357 312 32 71 22 1 8 37 0 1 35 76 .228 .311 .381 .692
Now we see him posting an early stat-line that includes a .385 OBP and .588 SLG -- I hope it's legit, but the numbers so far indicate that he should probably fall back to earth.

He's also been rushed throughout his minor league career. He's finally at a level where he belongs. Oh, and his BABIP is only .296 so it's not like he's been lucky so far.
