    5-4-10 Reds vs Mets

Lineups Courtesy of Mark Sheldon...hopefully fewer typos.

    Tuesday's Reds lineup vs. Mets:

    Stubbs 8
    Phillips 4
    Votto 3
    Rolen 5
    Bruce 9
    Cabrera 6
    Nix 7
    Hanigan 2
    Arroyo 1

Question of the day -- Who is your preference at Reds catcher -- Ramon Hernandez or Ryan Hanigan? Hanigan is generally Arroyo's battery-mate, but he's also catching others like Harang and Bailey. Hernandez has done well with Mike Leake. Pitchers have a 4.58 ERA with Hanigan -- it's 5.73 with Hernandez.

Hanigan enters tonight batting .389 with 10 RBIs. Hernandez is hitting .245 with four RBIs but has come on stronger of late.

Phillips has hit well (.500) against Maine in 9 PA's with 2 HR's.

Nix getting a lot of PT since Dickerson went on the DL.It sure would be a good time for him to get hot.I'd much rather see him playing against RHP then Gomes especially when defense has to be considered.Personally I'm sick of Jonny.

    Will Janish ever play again?

    Janish...2 starts at short. Two.

The 2 he started at third for Rolen still puzzles me. Why not Janish at short and Cabrera at third? Whatever.

Neither Nix or Gomes are hitting...I'll go with the defender if I must pick between those two.

Probably because Janish has the better arm.

Pagan with a pop bunt to RF for a hit. I thought of Furcal when I saw that, as he did that against us last year in LA, then Welsh brings that up. Nice job Welsh.

Mets nickel and diming Arroyo. 1st and 3rd with no outs after a bunt hit and a soft hit and run single.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Did Welsh just say what I think he said?

#edit, I ran it back and he sure did say a little 4 letter word.

Bunt single to RF, soft ground ball just past Phillips, and soft groundball to CF just past Cabrera put up a run for NY.

Weakest earned run I've seen in a while. But they all count the same.

Good to see Bronson keep his composure and retire Bay and Wright rather easily.

BP with a rally killer. You don't hit home runs in front of the #3 hitter!

    Drop him to 9.

Listening to the Mets broadcasters. They were talking about how the ball to Cabrera could have been a DP if he had more range.
